Today was a historically significant day. No treaties were signed or wars ended, but the reigning ruler of the British Monarchy used Twitter for the first time today!
From the British Monarchy's official Twitter account, the first tweet by Queen Elizabeth II read: "It is a pleasure to open the Information Age exhibition today at the @ScienceMuseum and I hope people will enjoy visiting. Elizabeth R."
The Queen even signed the tweet, which is so cute in an 'old people using the Internet' type of way.
Congrats to Queen Elizabeth for stepping into the world of social media, it is a great accomplishment considering my Grandma thinks a cordless phone is voodoo, & refuses to use one.
It is a pleasure to open the Information Age exhibition today at the @ScienceMuseum and I hope people will enjoy visiting. Elizabeth R.
