Mockingjay Alert! Jennifer Lawrence Now a Pop Star with 'Hanging Tree'

America's sweetheart actress Jennifer Lawrence can now officially add "singer/ pop star" to her resume.

"The Hanging Tree," a song she sings in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week.

The haunting song  is sung by Lawrence's character Katniss Everdeen in the film and becomes an anthem for the all the rebels fighting against President Snow and the Capitol.

The song is officially billed to composer James Howard Newton, and features Lawrence. It debuted on music charts in the United Kingdom and Australia this week as well.

Jennifer Lawrence herself was a bit traumatized by it, as she told David Letterman, "I do not like singing in front of other people. It's, like, my biggest fear. I cried on set that day. That was awful."
