Teacher Posts Note In Classroom, Goes Immediately Viral
So, Donald Trump has been inaugurated and is now officially the President of the United States. Some see it as a good thing and some as a bad thing but I'm not writing this article to argue about that or share my personal political opinion. I'm writing it to point out an amazing letter that a teacher wrote to her students about the historic inauguration day. In the light of the conflicting and hate filled media stories about Donald Trump she wanted to bring her students together with love and peace!
This is what she had to say:
"Good Morning 2nd Graders!
Today is a very important day, today is inauguration day! This means that starting today, we will have a new president. His name is Donald Trump and he will live at the White House."
"However, what happens at your house is very important too! You can make the world a better place by starting at your house.
These are some things you can do to make the world a better place:
- Love yourself
- Listen to your parents
- Be responsible
- Be kind
- Celebrate the differences in others
- Believe in yourself
- Be happy
- Have fun in school
And remember: Love and kindness rule!"
Although it may seem like a small message, it's having a big impact! Her students now understand that what happens at home is just as important as what happens in the White House.
We should all be grateful that are people like the teacher who wrote the letter are in the world. It means there is still hope for a brighter tomorrow because the children are the future.
