Are you a putz or a mensch?!

The adorable residents of Los Angeles Jewish Home take to YouTube to explain the meaning of common Yiddish words.

For those of you who don't know, Yiddish is a language mainly based on Medieval German and Hebrew, and it uses an alphabet based on Hebrew. Yiddish was the language of Ashkenazic Jews, but not Sephardic Jews.

The Yiddish vocabulary is still central to Jewish culture in America, and abroad today. Watch the video and learn some new and culturally significant words today!
